Background Story
Odessa, like many other communities, had to suffer the loss of its local school due to low enrolment and budget constraints. It was immediately recognized that the building left behind by the Prairie Valley School Division presented an opportunity to the village. Once some preliminary investigation was completed, it was agreed upon to purchase the building and convert it into the Odessa Community Center. Since then, it has become the hub of the Village providing a home to a number of businesses offering services to all residents. The Odessa Community Center and its amenities are a tribute to the hardworking nature and pride of the people of Odessa. We hope you enjoy it as much as all of us do.
